Agape Construction Company is seeking residential journeyman-level framing carpenters with 3–5 years of wood-framing experience for projects in St. Louis, MO. Work under the lead carpenter on remodeling and additions on residential sites in Kirkwood area.

Responsibilities include demolition, reading blueprints, laying out walls, installing joists, studs, rafters, doors, windows, stairs, siding and exterior trim. Tools, good health, and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of residential wood framing experience, including remodels and additions.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electric and mechanical codes.
• In-depth knowledge of blueprint reading and structural framing codes.
• Own basic personal carpentry tools.
• Be physically fit and able to perform demanding work on a consistent basis.

• Read and interpret blueprints and change orders; perform material take offs.
• Lay out walls and install floor joists, studs and roof rafters.
• Install doors, windows, stairs and exterior trim; lay out and cut rafters to code.

Agape Construction Company is seeking RESIDENTIAL JOURNEYMAN-LEVEL FRAMING CARPENTERS with a 5+ years of wood-framing experience.

Job Summary

Working under the supervision of the lead carpenter, the journeyman-level carpenter will be the second on the framing crew of our residential remodel and addition projects.

Responsibilities

Assist the lead carpenter with the demolition and framing of residential remodel projects; jo tasks include but are not limited to:

• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, change orders and be able to do material take offs from them
• Lay out walls
• Lay out and installation of floor joists, stud framing and roof rafters
• Door and window installation
• Lay out and installation of stairs; calculate rough stringers to code
• Install siding
• Calculate rafters and use squares to create and install stick built roof framing
• Build decks, porches and install exterior trim
• Perform demolition
• Perform lead testing and abatement if required
• Step in as lead in the lead's absence

Position Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of residential wood framing experience, including remodels and additions
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electric and mechanical codes
• In depth knowledge of blueprint reading and structural framing codes
• Own basic personal carpentry tools
• Be physically fit and able to perform demanding work on a consistent basis

Salary:

$30 - $38 per hour based on experience
