Job summary

Agape Construction Company, Kirkwood, MO, seeks a Lead Trim Carpenter with proven finish carpentry experience in residential additions and remodels. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will oversee trim work to keep projects on schedule and budget while delivering high craftsmanship and maintaining client relations.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, installing doors/windows, setting cabinets, millwork, exterior trim, and using laser or transit levels.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in both rough and finish carpentry.
• In-depth knowledge of blueprint reading and structural framing codes.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical and mechanical codes.
• Physically fit and able to perform demanding work; reliable and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, change orders, and other carpentry documents.
• Install doors and windows and set cabinets and countertops.
• Install interior trim: base, casing, crown; install stairs and handrails.
• Build millwork: bookshelves, mouldings, mantles, box beams; install exterior trim.
• Use laser or transit level to establish grades and elevations.
• Perform simple repairs in painting, staining, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, flooring, drywall, and taping.

Agape Construction Company (Kirkwood, MO) has an IMMEDIATE NEED for a LEAD TRIM CARPENTER experienced in finish work of RESIDENTIAL additions and remodels.

Job Summary: Reporting to the Project Manager, the Lead Trim Carpenter is responsible for the finishing portion of the project by ensuring the project is on schedule, on budget, and done with the highest level of craftsmanship while maintaining a good relationship with the client.

Responsibilities

Perform, coordinate and oversee trim carpentry work at the highest level, including but not limited to:

• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, change orders and other carpentry related documents and do take-offs and layouts
• Installation of doors and windows
• Set cabinets and countertops
• Installation of appliances
• Installation of interior trim: base, casing, crown, etc.
• Install stair parts, handrails, routered strings, trim
• Build custom millwork; bookshelves, multiple piece moldings, mantle surrounds, box beams, wainscot, etc.
• Install deck, porch and other exterior trim
• Use a laser or transit level to establish grades and elevations
• Do simple repairs in painting, staining, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, flooring, drywall and tapin

Position Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience in both rough and finish carpentry
• In depth knowledge of blueprint reading and structural framing codes
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical and mechanical codes
• Be physically fit and able to perform demanding work on a consistent basis, including but not limited to:
• Have good communication skills and a positive attitude, be a team player
• Be punctual and report to work daily on a consistent basis
• Have a reliable vehicle, a valid driver's license and a clean background check

Salary: $32 - $40 per hour based on experience
