Job summary

All Things Metal Industries is seeking a Journeyman Ironworker to support the erection of structural steel and miscellaneous metals for commercial projects in the Phoenix area. You will read drawings, install beams and stairs, weld when required, and mentor apprentices on site.

The role requires safe work at heights, adherence to OSHA and AISC standards, and the ability to lead small crews while maintaining quality and productivity. On-site duties run Monday through Friday with early start times.

Qualifications

• Journeyman-level ironworking experience in commercial construction.
• Experience with rigging, signaling, and structural steel erection.
• Ability to weld 3G and 4G SMAW.
• Ability to read erection drawings and shop drawings.
• Experience installing stairs, guardrails, and grab rails.
• Ability to lead apprentices and small crews.
• Comfortable working at heights with fall protection.
• Professional working proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Erect structural steel and miscellaneous metal per plans, OSHA regulations, and AISC standards.
• Raise, position, align, connect, and secure beams, columns, stairs, guardrails, grab rails, and other components.
• Read and interpret erection drawings, shop drawings, and construction documents.
• Perform structural steel bolt-up, field fabrication, layout, and welding activities.
• Utilize gridlines and layout tools to ensure accurate installation.
• Install and maintain rigging systems and signal crane operators.
• Lead small crews and mentor apprentices in the field.
• Maintain welding certifications and ensure work meets quality standards.
• Enforce safety procedures, PPE, and company policies.
