Job summary

All Things Metal Industries in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Journeyman Ironworker to lead crews and perform structural steel erection on commercial projects. You will read drawings, weld to SMAW 3G/4G standards, and enforce safety at height with a strong commitment to quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Journeyman-level ironworking experience in commercial construction.
• Experience with rigging, signaling, and structural steel erection.
• Ability to weld 3G and 4G SMAW.
• Read and interpret erection drawings and shop drawings.
• Experience installing stairs, guardrails, and grab rails.
• Experience with structural steel layout, plumbing, sequencing, and connection methods.
• Ability to fabricate structural steel components in the field.
• Comfortable working at heights.
• Ability to lead small crews and mentor apprentices.
• Working knowledge of fall protection systems and construction safety requirements.
• Professional working proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Erect structural steel and miscellaneous metal assemblies on site per plans and standards.
• Raise, position, align, connect, and secure beams and columns.
• Read erection drawings and construction documents accurately.
• Perform bolt-up, field fabrication, layout, and welding activities.
• Use gridlines and layout tools for precise installation.
• Maintain rigging systems and signal crane operators safely.
• Operate forklifts and aerial work platforms per training.
• Lead small crews and mentor apprentices on tasks.
• Maintain welding certifications and quality standards.
• Enforce safety procedures and company policies.
• Collaborate with customers, contractors, and teammates.
