Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of formal HVAC training or at least two years of maintenance experience.
• Journeyman-level knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Must have a valid Commonwealth of Virginia vehicle operator’s license.
• Ability to access DDC control systems (Trane DDC controls).

Responsibilities

• Assist in construction, repair, preventive maintenance, assembly, and installation of HVAC systems; chill water, boilers, chemical mixing equipment, and condensate systems.
• Assist in completion of minor construction projects.
• Assist in procuring equipment and materials necessary for maintenance projects and minor construction.
• Loads, delivers, unloads, and handles materials.
• Operates shop vehicles necessary to complete these tasks.
• Assists contractors in locating and gaining access to facilities and structures within them.
