Job summary

HES is a premier facilities management provider focused on educational institutions, seeking a Licensed Journeyman HVAC Technician (Maintenance) to join the team. You will perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and installations on heating and ventilation systems, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance within school environments.

The role requires a journeyman HVAC license, five years of commercial HVAC experience, and the ability to work on-call.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• 2-year military, vocational, or apprenticeship HVAC training.
• Journeyman HVAC license required.
• Five years experience in commercial HVAC.
• Valid state driver’s license required.
• Basic hand tools required.
• Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout procedures required.
• Basic CMMS and BAS knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, repair and install heating and ventilating equipment and controls as assigned.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems.
• Respond to alarms and diagnose problems across systems.
• Complete documentation for work orders, parts and hours.
• Support other trades and on-call duties as needed.
