Job summary

MIINC Mechanical Contractors is seeking skilled Sheet Metal Journeymen to support our commercial HVAC construction projects from our Dallas home office. The role may be filled at Journeyman I or Journeyman II level based on experience.

You will interpret blueprints, install ductwork with supervision, and coordinate material needs with the foreman while maintaining safety and quality targets on-site.

Qualifications

• Commercial sheet metal experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a field crew.
• Leadership and field coordination experience preferred for Journeyman II.
• Experience in fast-paced commercial construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints and shop drawings to support field installation.
• Install commercial ductwork from shop drawings with minimal supervision.
• Assist with material staging, preparation, and installation.
• Work effectively with Helpers and other members of the sheet metal crew.
• Maintain quality, productivity, and safety standards on the jobsite.
• Communicate field issues or material needs to the Foreman.
• Perform all Journeyman I responsibilities.
• Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications for complex installations.
• Provide duct layout and coordinate installation activities in the field.
• Provide leadership and direction to Journeyman I, Helpers, and other crew members.
• Coordinate material needs, duct orders, and cut tickets as necessary.
• Identify field conflicts and work with Foreman and other trades to resolve issues.
• Support Foreman with field coordination, productivity, and project execution.
• Maintain a strong focus on quality, safety, and schedule requirements.
