Job summary

Havtech in Richmond, VA is seeking an experienced Journeyman HVAC Service Technician to perform service and maintenance on major HVAC equipment and environmental-control systems. The role involves retrofit, repair, and working with cutting-edge technologies in the Virginia market.

The technician will diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment at customer sites, read blueprints, and provide on-site technical support. Travel, overtime, and adherence to safety standards are expected.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or technical certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning with eight years related experience, or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• EPA Certification.
• Virginia HVAC Journeyman license required.

Responsibilities

• Represents the company by serving as a direct customer contact.
• Servicing all products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Diagnose and repair units using hand-tools and blueprints/engineering specifications.
• Perform preventive maintenance, site surveys, and modifications as needed.
• Prepare for on-site installation by examining layout and coordinating work.
