Job summary

The Jamar Company in Minnesota is seeking a Journeyman HVAC-R Technician to install, service, and repair HVAC-R systems for commercial and industrial customers, delivering reliable results. You will diagnose components, read drawings and specs, and log work orders in our service software platform; weekend, holiday, and on-call shifts may be required.

Qualifications

Completion of a one- or two-year HVAC technology program and Journeyman experience.
CFC/EPA Universal Certification required.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, and applicable industry standards.
Flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, and emergency on-call assignments.
Professional representation of the company and strong communication.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC-R systems for commercial and industrial customers.
Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.
Interpret work orders and close them in the service software.
Operate tools, equipment, and machines for daily operations.
Request and requisition repair parts as needed.
Adhere to safety procedures and company policies.
Take on additional assignments as needed.
Adhere to safety guidelines and best practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.
