Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman HVAC/Refrigeration Technician to join our dynamic field service team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and refrigeration systems across commercial and residential properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair HVAC systems, refrigeration units, boilers, and mechanical systems in various commercial settings.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and building automation system diagrams to accurately diagnose issues.
• Conduct electrical diagnostics and troubleshoot electrical systems within HVAC/R equipment using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters.
• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment including filters, belts, motors, compressors, and controls to ensure reliable operation.
• Repair or replace mechanical components using hand tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools while adhering to safety standards.
• Diagnose complex issues related to refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration and appliance repair.
• Collaborate with property managers and clients to deliver exceptional customer service while providing clear explanations of repairs and maintenance procedures.
• Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and reports for all performed tasks in compliance with company policies.

Requirements

• Valid Journeyman HVAC/Refrigeration license or equivalent certification with comprehensive experience in HVAC system repair and installation.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of HVAC design principles, building automation systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and mechanical systems repair.
• Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, welding equipment, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
• Ability to perform HVAC system maintenance tasks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols including EPA certification for refrigerants handling.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose equipment issues quickly and accurately.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; familiarity with driver requirements preferred.
• Strong communication skills combined with a customer-focused approach to service delivery.
