The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a Journeyman Enterprise Database Administrator to play a critical role in supporting data management and data science initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency at USSTRATCOM. This position requires a strong foundation in database management, data governance, and analytics to ensure the effective utilization of data across various operational domains.

The work location for this position is Omaha, Nebraska. The position is contingent upon award of the United States Strategic Command SCITLS contract.

Responsibilities:

Enterprise Database Administrator (DBA), Journeyman:

  • Provides comprehensive Enterprise Database Management and Administration in support of USSTRATCOM operations

  • Provides support of database design, implementation, maintenance, optimization, and security across multiple environments (e.g., development, testing, production)

  • Ensures availability, reliability, and scalability to meet the operational demands and evolving needs of the organization

  • Manages new or updated database technologies and all platform databases (currently Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server)

  • Develops, builds, and deploys database schemas and populates development, test, and production databases on schedule

  • Completes and retains database backups

  • Provides industry standards of service, including the performance of preventive maintenance, inspections, and services designed to maximize the reliability of infrastructure resources

  • Troubleshoots issues with existing or development of database systems and resolves issues

  • Must be willing and able to work rotating shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays) as required by mission needs

  • Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned by leadership to meet mission requirements and support USSTRATCOM objectives. Depending on experience and team structure, this role may involve working under direct supervision or potentially providing guidance, training, or supervision to others

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Top Secret security clearance with SCI Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Management, or a related field

  • 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator, with a focus on data management within a government or military environment

  • Required 8140 Cert within 6 months of start date: 421 - Basic; (GSEC / Sec+); OR Applicable degree ABET accredited/CAE designated; OR Training

AND

  • Additional Cert: N/A

  • Proficiency in SQL, database design, data governance, and data warehousing principles

  • Familiarity with data science tools and methodologies is highly desirable

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
