Journeyman Enterprise Database Administrator

The Opportunity:

CCI is seeking a Journeyman Enterprise Database Administrator to support data management and data science initiatives for USSTRATCOM. This role requires expertise in database management, data governance, and analytics to optimize data use across operational domains.

The work location is Omaha, Nebraska, contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage enterprise databases supporting USSTRATCOM operations
  • Design, implement, maintain, and secure databases across environments (Oracle, SQL Server)
  • Ensure database availability, reliability, and scalability
  • Develop and deploy database schemas, perform backups
  • Maintain infrastructure reliability through industry-standard practices
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database issues
  • Work rotating shifts as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned, potentially supervising or guiding others
Qualifications:

Required:

  • TS/SCI security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, Data Management, or related field
  • 5+ years as a Database Administrator in government/military environments
  • 8140 Cert within 6 months: GSEC, Sec+, or equivalent
  • Proficiency in SQL, database design, data governance, warehousing
  • Familiarity with data science tools is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Pay Range:

The salary range is $65,000 - $136,500, influenced by location, experience, skills, and certifications. Benefits include healthcare, wellness, retirement, education, and time off. Learn more.
