Fluor is seeking an Electrician for their Aurora location, responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems. The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance and involves supervision of apprentices. Successful candidates will work both in conventional office environments and challenging project sites. Must have an active (or ability to obtain and maintain) TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
Performs a variety of industrial electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy. Work involves: installing or repairing industrial electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, chiller units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment, while maintaining repair and maintenance records. Work from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications, in accordance with the NEC. Locating and diagnosing problems in the electrical system or equipment, working standard computations related to load requirements, and using electrician's hand tools and measuring/testing instruments. The position will work with voltages up to 13.2kV, including maintenance and troubleshooting of switchgear and breakers. Perform switching of medium voltage gear (5kV) according to switching plans. Install new systems, typically low voltage (<600V). The work environment varies from conventional indoor offices to project sites with harsh conditions.
Supervision Exercised:
May supervise employees, Apprentice Electricians, or subcontractor personnel as directed by management, in accordance with the “General Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities,” NEC standards, and report to the Lead Maintenance Electrician.
Salary Rate: $38.00 to $45.00/hour + $4.98/hour Fringe
Positions covered by the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act or Davis-Bacon Act will comply with the respective statutory requirements.
