Job summary

Pima County's Parks & Recreation Department seeks an experienced Electrician to perform journey-level electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, construction, and preventive maintenance for public infrastructure.

Required apprenticeship in electrician trade with experience; hiring range is $28.85-$34.25 per hour, up to a $39.96 pay range. This is a full-time classified position within the Parks & Recreation Department.

Qualifications

Completion of an industry-recognized apprenticeship program in the electrician trade and one year of journey-level electrical work.
Two years of experience with Pima County as a Trades Maintenance Technician or Facilities Management Specialty Trade Technician as an electrician maintaining commercial electrical systems and distribution lines of 120V to 13KV.

Responsibilities

Performs skilled analysis and repair of commercial/industrial-level electrical equipment and systems.
Leads others in fabrication or modifications of equipment, facilities, systems or components.
Provides testing and documentation on emergency power backup systems.
Inspects, services and maintains tools, equipment, and vehicles.
Maintains records on supported equipment and systems.
Prepares sketches and drawings for work and communicates needs to supervisors.
