Qualifications

• Three years of journey-level experience in a commercial and/or industrial electrical work environment.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational education in the electrical field may substitute for up to one year of the experience requirement.
• Ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver’s license by hire and maintain a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical motor control systems.
• Install electrical circuits from 120V to 480V; lay out, bend, and install conduit.
• Perform load calculations.
• Maintain, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment and the distribution system.
• Document information on the preventive maintenance program and maintain the major maintenance spreadsheet for pending repairs.
• Modify and update systems to conform to code.
• Perform inspections of building envelopes.
• Estimate time and order materials for projects and repairs.
• Other job duties as assigned.
