Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. is seeking a Journeyman Electrician for commercial, industrial, and large-scale construction projects. You will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, read blueprints, and ensure safety and quality on-site.

The role requires NEC expertise, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to lead apprentices while adhering to OSHA and IBEW standards. This position involves traveling to multiple sites and working in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and construction docs.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve electrical issues independently.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, modify, and repair electrical systems per NEC and local codes.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to understand project specs.
• Install conduit, cable trays, wiring, breakers, transformers, switches.
• Perform inspections, testing, and troubleshooting for safety and function.
• Collaborate with project teams to align with timelines and trades.
• Lead apprentices and provide on-the-job training and mentorship.
• Maintain compliance with IBEW agreements, labor standards, and policies.
• Ensure safe and efficient work following OSHA protocols.
• Report progress and issues to foreman/project managers.
• Participate in safety briefings and trainings on new tools and standards.
• Provide input on materials, tools, and equipment for projects.

Education

Journeyman Electrician Certification or State License
