Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. (CEI) is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on commercial, industrial, and large-scale projects.

The role emphasizes safety, quality workmanship, and the ability to work independently or with a team on fast-paced sites. Ideal candidates will have NEC knowledge, blueprint reading skills, and a minimum of 4 years of experience, with leadership capabilities to mentor apprentices.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician Certification or State License preferred.
• At least 4 years of experience as a Journeyman in commercial/industrial construction.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, modify and repair electrical systems per NEC and local codes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Install conduit, cable trays, wiring, circuit breakers, transformers, switches and other equipment as required by project designs.
• Perform routine inspections, testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
• Collaborate with project teams to align with other trades and project timelines.
• Lead apprentices and provide on-the-job training.
• Maintain compliance with IBEW agreements, local labor standards and company policies.
• Ensure safety protocols per OSHA and company standards.
• Report and document progress to foreman and project managers.
• Participate in safety meetings and ongoing training.
• Provide input on electrical materials, tools and equipment.
