Job summary

Torgeson Electric Company in Kansas City, KS is seeking skilled Electricians to install electrical systems in the construction industry. Journeyman electricians must be knowledgeable in the National Electrical Code and local jurisdictions, with prior installation experience.

This full-time role offers 40+ hours per week, travel and lodging if required, and a benefits package including PTO, holidays, 401K with match, ESOP, and health/dental insurance.

Qualifications

• Journeyman's License preferred but not required; apprenticeship or 8,000 hours of experience required.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug testing.
• Strong communication and safety focus required.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical systems on construction job sites.
• Direct and train apprentices to install, maintain, modify and repair electrical distribution systems.
• Inspect and test components including transformers and switch gear.
• Interpret prints and generate RFIs for projects.
• Ensure jobsite safety and follow safety policies at all times.
• Complete daily pre-job safety plans for work performed.
