Amteck is seeking a Journeyman Electrician 1 (J1) who works under a Foreman or Superintendent and may oversee a small crew of Helpers, Apprentices, or other J1’s. The role involves installation, alteration and repair of electrical systems, with opportunities to learn in other divisions like low voltage, controls, and process work.

You will read blueprints, measure and install conduits, terminate devices, and mentor Helpers on site while ensuring safety and quality.

Formación

• 5-7 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Ability to read project specs, blueprints and schematics.
• Comfortable leading Helpers and Apprentices on site.
• Demonstrate safety awareness and adherence to procedures.
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime as needed.
• Ability to use standard electrical hand tools and equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install conduit using hand tools and benders.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panels and feeders.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of circuiting and basic troubleshooting.
• Read project drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Layout work from drawings, including underground areas.
• Determine wire, conduit and junction box sizing.
• Lead and mentor Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
