Job summary

Crowder, a family-owned general contractor, seeks an Electrical Journeyman to support heavy civil and energy projects. You will interpret drawings, install conduit, wire lighting and power equipment, and test systems to ensure safety and code compliance.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret electrical drawings, site plans, and detail drawings.
• Ability to work safely and follow safety procedures on job sites.
• Strong problem-solving skills and precise measurement abilities.
• Good manual dexterity and stamina for physically demanding work.

Responsibilities

• Plan new or modified installations to minimize waste and ensure maintenance access.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit.
• Pull wiring through conduit with assistance as needed.
• Connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.
• Install control and distribution apparatus such as switches and circuit panels.
• Connect power cables to equipment and establish grounding.
• Test circuitry with ohmmeters and testing instruments.
• Observe equipment operation for hazards and needed adjustments.
• Troubleshoot or repair faulty equipment or systems.
