Job summary

A Rhode Island journeyman electrician’s license is required and must be maintained.

Qualifications

• Ten school grades completed or equivalent education.
• Journeyman electrician license required and maintained.
• Ability to read and work from electrical diagrams and blueprints.
• Experience in installing, inspecting, maintaining and repairing electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, alter and repair electrical systems, equipment and apparatus throughout Rhode Island College facilities.
• Read electrical diagrams and blueprints and safely handle high voltage systems.
• Possibly supervise helpers or other employees assigned to assist with electrical work.
