Job summary

GEORGE MCKENNA ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS in Frisco, TX is seeking an experienced Electrical Journeyman to install, troubleshoot, and repair commercial electrical systems. You will read blueprints, coordinate with project teams, and uphold NEC and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman Electrician License required by state or local regulation.
• 5–10 years electrical experience in commercial, multi-family, or residential construction.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and ability to read blueprints/schematics.
• Experience with troubleshooting and electrical repairs.
• Proven problem-solving and communication skills; able to work independently or in a team.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred; supervisory experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
• Read/use blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings.
• Install conduit, wiring, panels, switchgear, lighting, and devices.
• Test systems and diagnose issues with appropriate equipment.
• Ensure compliance with NEC and local codes.
• Coordinate with project managers and other trades to maintain schedules.
• Document work and materials; mentor apprentices or junior electricians.
• Adhere to OSHA regulations and safety policies; perform additional duties as assigned.
