Description

Job Summary:
The primary duties of the Electrician are to ensure the safe and efficient installation of backup/supplemental power distribution generator equipment within the project specifications. The role requires proficiency in working on three-phase systems. The Electrician will be responsible for crew safety and project completion within forecasted timelines.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License
• At least two years’ experience with generators, switchgear, and three-phase systems
• Understanding of codes and standards for backup and power distribution units
• Willingness to travel (90%+), able to drive or fly as needed
• Ability to read construction drawings/blueprints (preferred)
• Journeyman’s License (preferred)
• Proficiency in English communication
• Knowledge of construction processes and safe use of hand tools

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspect electrical systems for code compliance, hazards, and defects
• Ensure safe terminations and connections to backup systems
• Maintain safe work environments following SOPs and legal standards
• Learn and contribute to installation processes to improve efficiency
• Communicate effectively with senior staff to ensure safety and timeliness

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Travel extensively (90%+), capable of driving or flying
• Stand or walk for 3-4 hours
• Operate hand tools with manual dexterity

Work environment includes exposure to weather, noise, energized electrical equipment, overhead hazards, and heavy machinery.
