Job summary

HM Cragg, a Generac dealer and 100% employee-owned company, seeks a Journeyman Electrician to install, maintain, and repair backup power systems across the region. Enjoy travel opportunities, overtime, a company vehicle, tools, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

You must hold a Minnesota Journeyman Electrician license, work with DC power equipment, generators, transfer switches, and UPS systems. Expect up to 75% travel, 6-hour radius sites, weekends at home.

Qualifications

• Minnesota Journeyman Electrician license required.
• Strong knowledge of DC power equipment, telecommunications, switchgear, control, and UPS.
• Knowledge of generators, transfer switches, and distribution equipment.
• Proactive about safety training and DOT requirements.
• Pass a physical, background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled electrical work in installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
• Install and replace backup generator systems.
• Determine modifications when obstructions are met during installation.
• Communicate with Electrical Manager/Master Electrician and teams across departments.
• Work from wiring diagrams, schematics, sketches, blueprints or instructions.
• Use standard electrician's tools and testing instruments.
