The candidate should have at least 6 years of electrical experience and be willing to travel across the lower 48 states.

  • Interpret MEP Blueprints: Accurately read and analyze mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) blueprints, ensuring coordination and proper overlay of all systems on-site.
  • Electrical Layout Planning: Develop detailed electrical layouts prior to rough-in phases, ensuring code compliance and optimal installation practices.
  • Motor Control Systems: Install, troubleshoot, and maintain motor control systems in accordance with project specifications.
  • Electrical Wiring Installation: Perform complex electrical installations, including transformers, disconnects, switchgear, receptacles, and lighting systems.
  • Conduit Bending: Expertly bend and install conduit, including concentric bends, offsets, kicks, and saddles, using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Technical Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members, both verbally and in writing, maintaining a professional demeanor on the jobsite.
  • Project Coordination: Plan and sequence work activities logically to ensure efficient project progression and adherence to timelines.
  • Administrative Tasks: Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook to complete reports, manage schedules, and communicate project updates as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must be willing to travel 50% or more each year.

Minimum certifications shall be a current Journeyman’s License, no exceptions. Skills needed for said position shall include but are not limited to:

  • Proficient at reading MEP blueprints and understands how all systems overlay with one another.
  • Proficient at electrical layout prior to rough in.
  • Experience with Motor Controls.
  • Has in depth knowledge of electrical wiring such as installing transformers, disconnects, switchgear, receptacles, and lighting.
  • Adept at bending conduit which shall include knowledge of concentric bends, various offsets, kicks, and saddles.
  • The candidate should possess basic Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook (email) skills.
  • The candidate should have good verbal and written communication skills and be able to work directly with our clients and subcontractors and present themselves professionally at the jobsite.
  • The candidate should be a good communicator and be able to logically plan successive work activities.

Additional Qualifying Factors:

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening (post accepted offer) and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.

This position requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunity to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds. If required, must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times including but not limited to: hard hats, steel toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection. Must always maintain a constant state of mental alertness.

Working Conditions

Job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and loud noise.
