PRIMARY PURPOSE :

• Responsible for maintenance and repairs of district electrical systems.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Education and Experience :

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Valid State of Texas Journeyman Electrician License.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, specifications, and technical documents.
• Five years' commercial electrical experience required.
• Five years' electrical maintenance experience required.
• Valid Texas Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
• Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES :

• Operate a motor vehicle with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Work at heights up to 50 feet with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Work under limited supervision.
• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems for AISD facilities.
• Maintain assigned vehicle, equipment, and tools to ensure safety.
• Coordinate with Electrical Foremen and other trades to complete projects and work orders.
• Inspect electrical systems and components to evaluate condition.
• Identify necessary repairs and recommend preventive maintenance.
• Inform personnel about procedures and the status of work orders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Equipment Used :

• Tools associated with the electrical trade, including power tools (drill saws, hammer drills), pneumatic and electric lifts, scaffolds, basic hand tools, electronic test equipment, trenchers.
• Work within AISD facilities and zone concepts.
• Exposure to Texas regional atmospheres.
• Potential work in trenches.

Job Duties :

Maintain all AISD zone concepts. Work in trenches may be required.

Physical Demands :

Continuous lifting, climbing, reaching.
