Job summary

Legendary Home Services is recruiting a Journeyman Electrician to execute complex electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance across commercial and residential projects in Minnesota. You will interpret blueprints, ensure safety compliance, and coordinate with project teams to deliver quality work on schedule.

The role requires completion of an electrical apprenticeship and a Journeyman certification, with a strong focus on reliability, customer service, and on-site collaboration.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an electrical apprenticeship program and attainment of Journeyman Electrician certification.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
• Proficient use of electrical tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Execute electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance per plans, codes, and safety regulations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications for wiring requirements.
• Install, repair, and troubleshoot electrical systems including wiring, controls, fixtures, and equipment.
• Ensure safety protocols and regulations are followed on site.
• Coordinate with project managers and teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Perform inspections and tests to ensure functionality and safety of electrical systems.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance activities in accordance with project plans, electrical codes, and safety regulations.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and specifications to determine the layout and wiring requirements for installations and repairs.
• Install, repair, and troubleshoot electrical systems, including wiring, controls, fixtures, and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations, minimizing the risk of accidents and promoting a safe work environment for yourself and fellow team members.
• Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and other team members to coordinate project requirements and ensure smooth execution.
• Perform electrical inspections and tests to identify and resolve issues, ensuring the functionality and safety of electrical systems.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including labor hours, materials used, and any additional project documentation as required.
• Keep abreast of the latest electrical technologies, codes, and regulations, and implement best practices in your work.
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any questions, concerns and issues promptly.
• Mentor and provide guidance to apprentice electricians, supporting their skill development and knowledge acquisition.

Qualifications:

• Successful completion of an electrical apprenticeship program and attainment of Journeyman Electrician certification.
• Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician, preferably in commercial or industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Thorough understanding of electrical codes, regulations, and safety practices.
• Proficient use of electrical tools and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, depending on project requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
