Job summary

D&J Electric Company in Michigan is hiring a full-time Journeyman to join our family-owned team. We service residential and commercial settings, including standby generator installs, service calls, new construction, and remodels.

The ideal candidate holds a Michigan Journeyman license in good standing, a valid driver's license, and strong ability to read manuals, blueprints, and schematics; safety-conscious, team-oriented, and capable of outdoors work in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• Must have current Journeyman License in Michigan in good standing.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Able to interpret manuals, blueprints and schematics.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Ability to work independently or with a team; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose services on electrical concerns in both residential and commercial settings.
• Install electrical fixtures, components and systems according to code.
• Install Standby Generators and Automatic Transfer Switches.
• Electrical/Generator service calls
• Heavy lifting is required- Physical performance required but not limited to: bending, climbing ladders, pulling, grasping and walking on uneven surfaces.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures.
• Follow standard practices and governmental regulations and laws relating to powered equipment.
• Follow designated designs, instructions and codes.
• Occasional machinery operation.

Welcome to D&J Electric Company! We have been family owned and operated since 1980. We are looking to hire a full-time Journeyman to join our team.
