Job summary

DJEC INC (D&J Electric) is seeking a full-time Journeyman to join our Michigan team. We work on residential and commercial projects including new construction, remodels, standby generator installs, and EV charging stations.

The ideal candidate holds a current Michigan Journeyman license, a high school diploma, and a valid driver’s license. Training is provided; the role requires safety-conscious, team-oriented electricians capable of independent work.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Journeyman License in Michigan in good standing.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience with New Construction, Remodel wiring, EV charging, and Standby Generator installations.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical concerns in residential and commercial settings.
• Install electrical fixtures, components and systems according to code.
• Install Standby Generators and Automatic Transfer Switches.
• Electrical/Generator service calls.
• Heavy lifting and physical work in varying weather conditions.
• Follow safety regulations and local codes; read designs and schematics.
• Occasional machinery operation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose services on electrical concerns in both residential and commercial settings.
• Install electrical fixtures, components and systems according to code.
• Install Standby Generators and Automatic Transfer Switches.
• Electrical/Generator service calls
• Heavy lifting is required- Physical performance required but not limited to: bending, climbing ladders, pulling, grasping and walking on uneven surfaces.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures.
• Follow standard practices and governmental regulations and laws relating to powered equipment.
• Follow designated designs, instructions and codes.
• Occasional machinery operation.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• MUST have a current Journeyman License in the state of Michigan and be in good standing.
• Interpret technical manuals, blueprints and schematics.
• Skilled in interpersonal relations and written/ oral communications.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Ability to work as a team as well as independently with minimal supervision. *Training will be provided for all services offered.
• * Previous experience in New Construction & Remodel wiring, EV charging station and Stand-By Generator installations.
