Job summary

Balance Staffing is seeking Commercial Electricians - Journeymen & Apprentices for on-site travel projects across Texas. This 3-year contract role offers per diem and several assignments with competitive pay based on experience.

Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial electrical systems, reading blueprints, running conduit, and ensuring code compliance. Journeyman and Apprentice licenses (TDLR) are required, along with tool sets and safety PPE.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of commercial electrical experience.
• Current TDLR Journeyman or Apprentice license.
• Ability to read blueprints and project specifications.
• Willingness to travel across Texas for assignments.
• Own basic electrical hand tools and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair commercial electrical wiring, lighting, outlets, panels, and equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and diagrams.
• Run conduit, pull wire, install fixtures and components.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform repairs.
• Inspect systems for proper operation and code compliance.
• Follow OSHA guidelines and site safety procedures.
• Coordinate with other trades as needed and keep work area organized.

Job Title: Commercial Electricians - Journeymen & Apprentices

Type of Role: 3 year contract

Shift / Hours: 6 days | 12 hr shifts

Location: Brownsville, TX

Salary Range: $30 - $50(DOE)

TC Tradesmen is hiring experienced Commercial Journeyman and Apprentice Electricians for multiple projects throughout Texas. These are traveling positions with per diem available for qualifying assignments.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair commercial electrical wiring, lighting, outlets, panels, and electrical equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Run conduit, pull wire, and install electrical fixtures and components.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Inspect electrical systems to ensure proper operation and compliance with applicable electrical codes.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment safely and effectively.
• Follow all OSHA guidelines, company policies, and job-site safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and coordinate with other trades as needed.

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of commercial electrical experience
• Journeyman and experienced Apprentice Electricians
• Current TDLR Journeyman or Apprentice Electrician license
• Experience with conduit bending and installation, pulling wire, terminations, fixtures, panels, and other commercial electrical work
• Ability to read blueprints and follow project specifications
• Must have basic electrical hand tools and appropriate PPE
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to projects throughout Texas
• Strong attendance, safety awareness, and work ethic
