Team Sunshine Construction, LLC is seeking a licensed Residential Journeyman Electrician to support our growing HVAC division in residential heat pump and electrical installations across New England.

The ideal candidate will install electrical systems, read blueprints, and ensure all work meets NEC and local codes while delivering excellent customer service in occupied homes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Residential Journeyman Electrician to join our growing HVAC division. This role is ideal for an experienced electrician who enjoys working alongside HVAC installation teams to complete residential heat pump and HVAC electrical installations safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable electrical codes.

Position Overview

As a Residential Journeyman Electrician, you will work closely with our HVAC installers to complete the electrical scope of residential heating and cooling projects. Your primary responsibilities will include wiring and connecting heat pump systems, installing dedicated circuits, completing electrical service connections, and ensuring every installation meets local and national electrical code requirements.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable working in residential environments throughout New England.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and connect electrical systems for residential heat pump installations.


• Install dedicated branch circuits, disconnects, breakers, and associated electrical equipment.


• Complete electrical tie-ins for indoor and outdoor HVAC equipment.


• Install and terminate low-voltage control wiring for HVAC systems (as applicable).


• Verify proper operation of newly installed HVAC equipment through electrical testing and troubleshooting.


• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, and installation plans.


• Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.


• Coordinate daily with HVAC installers, project coordinators, and field supervisors to ensure projects stay on schedule.


• Troubleshoot electrical issues encountered during installations.


• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.


• Deliver professional customer service while working in occupied residential homes.


• Accurately complete required documentation and communicate any field issues to management.

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman Electrician License required.


• Residential electrical experience required.


• Experience wiring heat pumps or HVAC equipment preferred.


• Strong understanding of residential electrical systems and NEC requirements.


• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.


• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.


• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.


• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.


• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in attics, crawl spaces, ladders, and varying weather conditions.


• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with HVAC installation teams.
