Job summary

Cummings Electrical, LP in Houston, TX is hiring Licensed Journeyman Electricians to join a respected electrical contracting team. You will read blueprints, size wires, install conduit, troubleshoot electrical systems, and support safe, efficient project execution on commercial and industrial sites.

Candidates must hold an active Texas TDLR Journeyman license, have reliable transportation, and bring experience in commercial/industrial construction.

Qualifications

• Active Texas TDLR Journeyman Electrician License is required.
• Reliable transportation.
• Experience in a commercial and/or industrial electrical construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Read in-depth blueprints (mechanical, layout/on-line drawings).
• Determine size of pull box or J-box based on wires inside or passing through.
• Size wire based on amperage and voltage drop.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems (equipment, devices, conduit wires).
• Bend and install 3" or greater conduit.
• Terminate inside of Transformers, Switchgears, Generators and UP's, Lighting control panel and Control Panels.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time during scheduled shifts.
• Ability to perform physical activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching, and climbing as required by job duties.
