Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a qualified Journeyman Electrician to install, repair, rebuild and maintain electrical systems powering machine tools, production equipment, and lighting. You will diagnose and program PLCs, interpret blueprints and electrical codes, and lead major installations.

The position requires five years of experience, a High School diploma, and the ability to perform emergency repairs, preventive maintenance, and ongoing troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• 5 years of electrical experience required.
• Experience with PLCs and Allen-Bradley systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to perform preventive maintenance and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, rebuild, and maintain electrical systems for machines and equipment.
• Diagnose and program PLCs; read blueprints, schematics, manuals and codes.
• Lead major installations and revisions; prepare BOMs and requisitions.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers for parts and information.
• Perform emergency repairs to avoid production delays and ensure safety.

Responsibilities

• Installs, repairs, rebuilds and maintains electrical systems to provide power to machine tools, production equipment and lighting.
• Diagnoses and programs PLCs. Diagnosis machine malfunctions and difficulties.
• Disassembles, reworks, adjusts, or replaces electrical components of machines or equipment to achieve desired results.
• Installs and wires control panels, distribution centers, machine tool controls, switches, timing devices and lighting systems.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, machine manuals and electrical codes in order to perform safe and effective repairs and installations.
• Makes emergency repairs when necessary to avoid production delays. Performs layouts of installations.
• Prepares bills of material and requisitions from engineering specifications.
• Leads project teams through major installations or revisions of systems and equipment.
• Routinely contacts suppliers or manufacturers on part information, repair issues, improvement needs and shipping instructions.

salary: $77,000 - $81,999.98 per year
