Job Description
Title: Journeyman Electrician
Location: Delaware Basin
Pay: $35 - $50/HR
Hierarchy Breakdown
Reports to: The Operations Superintendent located in the Field Office.
Works Directly Alongside: Various customer and support elements including Automation, Measurement, Engineering, Production, Operations, and other IT support staff.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day maintenance and development of Automation Systems for field locations including well sites, SWD's, Compressor Stations, and Tank Batteries.
- Troubleshoot communication issues on various SCADA systems.
- Maintain the PM schedule for assigned fields.
- Participate in on-call rotation for 24/7 support as required.
- Perform electrical equipment installations, calibrations, inspections, and troubleshooting to minimize production impacts.
- Troubleshoot compressor panels at pipeline stations.
- Install wiring and conduit as needed.
- Lead electrical, grounding, end device, and commissioning activities including loop checks.
- Recognize malfunctions and perform necessary maintenance.
- Manage priorities proactively based on field needs.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Current Journeyman Electrician License.
- Experience with Rosemount, Transmitters, and Hart Devices.
- Experience in Service Maintenance of Instrumentation/Electrical at Compressor Stations.
- Experience with PLCs, including Modicon, Allen Bradley, GE MDS, Freewave, Cambium Radio systems, and Unity Pro software (preferred).
- Experience with Coriolis liquid meters and troubleshooting Serial and Ethernet radio systems.
- Knowledge of control circuits in PLC, switches, and overload relays.
- Within 75 miles of Mentone, TX.
- Willing to undergo background and driving record checks, pass DOT drug screening/physical.
- Minimum 5 years of automation and PLC programming experience in Oil and Gas.
- At least 3 years of industrial electrical experience.
- Associate Degree or Certification in Instrumentation Technology or Automation (preferred).
