Journeyman Electrician: Andrews

Lone Star Corporation is searching for a Journeyman Electrician. The Journeyman will perform installations, repairs, maintain and upgrade electrical systems, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment by performing the following duties. We are looking for an electrician with a strong work ethic who takes pride in their work to ensure quality work is completed in a safe and timely manner.

Daily Activities

1. Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit.
2. Pulls wiring through conduit.
3. Terminates wiring at lighting fixtures, control boxes, connectors, and power equipment.
4. Installs controls, monitoring and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, sensors, control boxes, and circuit-breaker panels.
5. Connects power cables to equipment, such as electric motors or heaters, and installs grounding leads.
6. Inspects electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with specifications and codes.
7. Directs and trains workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
8. Performs business management duties such as maintaining records and files, preparing reports, and ordering supplies and equipment.
9. Communicates effectively and works with others to develop and implement solutions to problems/issues.
10. Problem Solving / Troubleshooting: Able to obtain, analyze, and interpret data/information and develop solutions to issues/problems.

1. Complies with all company policies and procedures.
2. Any other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

1. 3 to 5 years of oilfield electrical (AC & DC), hands-on experience.
2. Open availability and must be willing to travel as work is subject to stand-by, pre-arranged, and/or call-out duty.
3. High School Diploma/GED.
4. Maintain a Journeyman Certificate/License.
5. A valid Driver's License is required.
6. Must be able to pass a drug test.
