Job summary

Gutridge Plumbing, Inc. is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to install, repair, and maintain electrical systems across our central Ohio service area. You will plan layouts, read blueprints, terminate wiring, install panels, and ensure NEC compliance.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent experience.
• Own hand tools and select power tools required.
• Commitment to safety protocols and company policies (OSHA-10 preferred).

Responsibilities

• Plan and lay out electrical work for self and crew to ensure efficient project execution.
• Install and terminate wiring, fixtures, devices, and distribution equipment including panels and switchgear.
• Measure, cut, and bend conduit for accurate circuit layouts.
• Pull, push, and route wire through raceways and cable trays.
• Use power tools for drilling and cutting; perform standard electrical repairs.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and trace short circuits with meters.
• Read and interpret drawings/blueprints and job specs with accuracy.

Gutridge is a leading construction and service company offering Plumbing, HVAC, Fire Protection and Electrical services to customers in the greater central Ohio marketplace. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical set ups.

What Will You Be Earning?

• Pay: $30.00 to $45.00 per hour
• Compensation is determined by hiring managers and is based on a variety of factors, including experience, qualifications, and the specific demands of the role.

What Are We Looking For?

• Plan and lay out electrical work for themselves and assigned crew members, ensuring efficient project execution.
• Install and terminate wiring, fixtures, devices, and distribution equipment including panels and switchgear.
• Measure, cut, and bend conduit using hand and hydraulic benders for accurate circuit layouts.
• Pull, push, and route wire through raceways, cable trays, and other approved systems.
• Use power tools for drilling and cutting, and perform standard electrical repairs including replacing switches, fuses, bulbs, and sockets.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and trace out short circuits using meters and standard diagnostic methods.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and job specifications with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Perform all work in compliance with the National Electric Code (NEC) and company safety policies.
• Set and review daily goals with supervisors and crew, maintaining clear communication and team alignment.
• Identify and implement pre-fabrication opportunities to improve job site productivity.
• Maintain company tools, equipment, and materials in an orderly, accountable manner.
• Adapt to changing job site priorities and perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.
• Demonstrate leadership, organization, and professionalism on the job site.
• Provide required hand tools and select power tools as outlined in the company handbook.
