Job summary

Gutridge is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to install, repair, and maintain electrical systems across our central Ohio projects. You will plan layouts, read blueprints, and ensure compliance with NEC and safety policies.

You must supply your own hand and power tools, have a strong work ethic, and be ready to lead small crews when needed. We offer free health, dental, vision, a generous 401(k) match, PTO, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electricians, Master Electricians, and Foremen.
• Open to motivated individuals eager to grow into these roles — a strong work ethic and positive attitude are key.
• Either completed or willing to complete the OSHA 10-hour safety course.
• Must supply your own hand tools and select power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications is required.
• Commitment to following all safety protocols and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lay out electrical work for themselves and crew.
• Install and terminate wiring, fixtures, devices, and distribution equipment.
• Measure, cut, and bend conduit for accurate layouts.
• Pull, push, and route wire through raceways, cable trays, and other approved systems.
• Use power tools for drilling and cutting; perform repairs on switches, fuses, bulbs, sockets.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and trace short circuits with meters.
• Read blueprints and job specifications with accuracy.
• Comply with NEC and safety policies.
• Set daily goals with supervisors and maintain team communication.
• Identify pre-fabrication opportunities to improve productivity.
• Maintain tools and materials in an orderly manner.
• Adapt to changing job site priorities and perform additional tasks.
• Demonstrate leadership and professionalism on the job site.
• Provide required hand tools and select power tools as outlined in the handbook.
