Job summary

Wheco Controls is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to lead installation of MCCs, VFDs, control panels, and power wiring for water infrastructure projects.

You will read blueprints, troubleshoot electrical issues in commercial/industrial settings, ensure NEC compliance, and mentor small field crews. Competitive benefits from day one and OT opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Journeyman Electrician license.
• 5+ years of commercial/industrial electrical experience.
• Experience with MCCs, VFDs, and industrial control systems.
• Strong NEC knowledge and safe work practices.
• Driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation of MCCs, VFDs, control panels, and power wiring.
• Measure, cut, bend, and install EMT conduit.
• Pull wire, make terminations, set panels, receptacles, lighting, and fixtures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues in commercial and industrial settings.
• Ensure all work complies with NEC, local codes, and safety standards.
• Mentor and lead small field crews as needed.

WHAT YOU'LL EARN

$32–$47/hr depending on experience

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead installation of MCCs, VFDs, control panels, and power wiring
• Measure, cut, bend, and install EMT conduit — proficiently and efficiently

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• Valid Journeyman Electrician License (required)
• 5+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience
• Experience with MCCs, VFDs, and industrial control systems
• Solid NEC knowledge and safe work practices
• PLC familiarity a plus
• Valid driver's license with clean record
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
