CURRENT OPPORTUNITY: Journeyman Electrician

Job Responsibilities

• Report to the project worksite on time and ready to work.
• Show willingness to learn and develop electrical skills.
• Apply basic electrical and construction principles to solve design, development, and modification problems.
• Complete work according to national and local codes, staying current with NEC revisions.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Stay on schedule and fulfill daily commitments as directed by the foreman.
• Assist with loading materials, trenching, wiring, and other tasks.
• Maintain respectful interactions with customers, trades personnel, vendors, and colleagues.
• Keep the job site clean and organized.
• Complete and submit paperwork such as timecards.
• Follow and enforce safety policies and training.
• Troubleshoot common electrical systems.
• Plan installations to minimize waste, ensure future access, and meet safety standards.
• Follow diagrams and blueprints for wiring and equipment placement.
• Measure, cut, bend, and install conduit and wiring.
• Connect wiring to fixtures and equipment.
• Install control and distribution panels.
• Connect power cables and grounding leads.
• Monitor system functioning and make adjustments as needed.
• Repair faulty systems and equipment.
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• High School diploma or G.E.D.
• At least 4 years of experience in electrical installations.
• Reliable transportation.
• Electrician's hand tools.
• Manual dexterity and multi-tasking ability.
• Advanced electrical knowledge.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Applicable state certification.
