Our client is seeking an Journeyman Electrician to join their team in Chester, VA. As aJourneyman Electrician, you will be part of the Engineering and Technical Services function, supporting facility electrical systems through inspection, repair, preventive maintenance, and safe, reliable service. Pay Range: $43-$45/hr.
Shift:10pm - 8am
Training:M-F 8am - 5pm

What's the Job?

• Oversee the general operation, repair, and maintenance of electrical and lighting systems, including new equipment installations.
• Inspect, check, repair, and replace electrical and lighting components such as wiring, controls, switches, motors, gauges, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, and related systems.
• Maintain equipment in a safe operating condition and support safe work practices on an active construction site.
• Review historical maintenance records to help create proactive inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Use standard procedures and technical judgment to solve routine problems and deliver efficient, reliable service to customers.

What's Needed?

• Journeyman’s license required (and Master Electrician license required as dictated by local electrical codes).
• 5-7 years of experience in electrical work, with a strong foundation in electrical principles and maintenance practices.
• High school diploma or GED (trade school diploma preferred in alignment with experience).
• Valid driver's license and the ability to meet physical requirements, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and strong organizational skills.
