Pacific Northern Environmental LLC is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in industrial and commercial settings. You will interpret blueprints, install conduits, and ensure compliance with NEC and site guidelines while mentoring apprentices.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and a Journeyman Card (WA or OR preferred); 2+ years in the field and first aid certification are desirable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License and eligibility under company vehicle policy.
• Journeyman Card WA or OR preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in industrial/commercial electrical sector.
• First Aid certification preferred.
• May need to meet OSHA facial hair standards per Respiratory Protection rule.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain company vehicles for job duties.
• Implement safety procedures and safeguards on job sites.
• Mentor apprentices and collaborate with team members.
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to plan installations.
• Install and bend GRC, EMT, and PVC conduits precisely.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems in industrial/commercial settings.
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure system efficiency and compliance.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues; document findings.
• Ensure work complies with NEC, local codes, and site guidelines.
• Prepare records and documentation for inspections.
• Participate in job-site meetings and coordinate with other trades.
• Operate scissor/boom lifts and other equipment as needed.
• Identify hazards, code violations, or design discrepancies.
• Work both in teams and independently as required by the job.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Follow directions from management; perform other duties as assigned.

The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with company standards, project specifications, and all applicable safety regulations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong work ethic, technical expertise, and a commitment to mentoring apprentices.

Education and Experience Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License required and must meet eligibility requirements to be covered under the company’s vehicle insurance policy.
• Hold an EL01 Washington Journeyman Card or an Oregon General Journeyman Card(both highly preferred)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working in the industrial/commercial sector in an electrical related position required.
• Current First Aid certification preferred.
• May be required to meet facial hair standards in accordance with OSHA’s Respiratory Protection standard (29 CFR 1910.34).

Duties and Responsibilities

The Journeyman Electrician possessing the education and experience listed above performs the following:

• Safely operate and maintain company vehicles as required for job duties, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
• Implements necessary safety procedures and safeguards during any given job.
• Works directly with apprentices, and when appropriate, directly engages and mentors them.
• Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and technical diagrams to plan electrical installations.
• Install and bend GRC, EMT, and PVC conduits with precision.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide range of electrical systems and equipment in industrial and commercial settings
• Performs routine maintenance on various systems to ensure system efficiency and compliance.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair electrical issues and implement effective solutions
• Ensure all work complies with the National Electric Code (NEC), local codes, and site-specific guidelines.
• Prepare and maintain records, reports, and documentation for inspections and testing.
• Participate in job site coordination meetings and interface with other trades.
• Operate scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other job-site equipment as needed.
• Identify and elevate potential hazards, code violations, or design discrepancies.
• Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation, but able to work independently when the job requires.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills are required.
• Respectfully takes direction from manager.
• Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

The candidate must possess and be adaptable to the following physical abilities and working conditions:

• Move about the jobsite.
• Move work related equipment up to 50lbs.
• Remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.
• Operate various technological devices, including a computer.
• Occasionally, ascend/descend ladders and/or stairs, working at heights and operating lifts as needed.
• Must be open to approximately 25% travel, however travel may not always be required. Some overnight stays may be required per customer needs (company pays for accommodation and per diem).
• Perform duties in an industrial and/or construction environment, where noise levels are high at times and may involve confined spaces.
