What You’ll Do

Provide technical support at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD), including electrical maintenance, repair, upgrades, and operation of industrial test equipment and facilities supporting DoD ship systems testing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair low and high voltage electrical systems.
• Prepare facilities for testing and assist engineers.
• Operate test equipment during model tests.
• Assemble and repair electrical and mechanical systems.
• Install electrical wiring, conduit, transformers, and networking equipment.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and correct deficiencies.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Certification, Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology, or trade school diploma.
• Experience working on circuits up to 2400VAC.
• Experience with electrical tubing fabrication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, move products with overhead crane, and perform physical tasks as required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
