Job summary

Atrium Home Services is seeking a Residential Journeyman Electrical Installer to perform residential electrical installations, replacements, and upgrades in customers’ homes while ensuring code compliance and a professional customer experience. You will install panels, wiring, lighting, EV chargers, and related systems, reading blueprints and ensuring safe, on-time completion.

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman Electrical License.
• 4+ years residential electrical experience.
• 1-2+ years of lead experience.
• Knowledge of MRC and NEC codes.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential electrical installations in accordance with local codes and company standards.
• Install, troubleshoot, and replace panels, circuits, wiring, fixtures, and related components.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and work orders to complete installations.
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and up to code.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners and provide on-site customer service.
• Collaborate with apprentices and team members to complete projects on schedule.
• Maintain a clean work area, vehicle, and inventory.
• Identify additional electrical needs and educate homeowners on solutions.
• Complete required job documentation and participate in ongoing training.

Position Overview:

As a Residential Journeyman Electrical Installer, you will be responsible for completing residential electrical installations, replacements, and upgrades safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable electrical codes and company standards. This role includes installing and replacing electrical panels, service equipment, circuits, wiring, lighting, generators, EV chargers, and other residential electrical systems and equipment. You will work in customers’ homes, ensure installations meet code and permit requirements, and provide a professional customer experience from start to finish.

What you'll do:

• Perform residential electrical installations in accordance with local codes and company standards
• Install, troubleshoot, and replace electrical panels, circuits, wiring, fixtures, outlets, switches, and related components
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to complete installations accurately
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and up to code
• Communicate professionally with homeowners and provide exceptional customer service on-site
• Collaborate with apprentices and team members to complete projects on schedule
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, vehicle, and inventory
• Identify additional electrical needs and educate homeowners on recommended solutions when appropriate
• Complete required job documentation, photos, and system notes accuratelyParticipate in ongoing training and support company quality and safety initiatives

What Does It Take?

• Valid Journeyman Electrical License
• 4+ years residential electrical experience, installation preferred
• 1-2+ years of lead experience, preferredKnowledge of MRC and NEC codes
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License and clean background/MVR/drug screen
• Ability to work independently or with a team
• Ability to use mobile technology and field service applications to take photos, document job details, and complete work orders

Pay:

• $35-$50/per hour
• Sign-On Bonus - Lansing Candidates are eligible for a $15,000.00 sign on if they hold a valid Michigan Journeyman or Master license

Physical Requirements:

This position requires regularly standing, walking, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, crouching, working in confined spaces such as attics and crawlspaces, working indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures, using hand and power tools, and lifting/carrying equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
