Job summary

Boulder County Public Works seeks a Construction Worker II, journeyman level in building trades, to perform skilled carpentry, drywall, cabinetry, and related installations for county buildings. This is a full-time benefited position, 6:00am - 2:30pm Monday-Friday with occasional overtime.

The role will work in various Boulder County locations; it is non-exempt and eligible for overtime. Residency in Colorado is required by start date; background check and pre-employment physical are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of two years in commercial building trades is required.
• Background check with fingerprinting and pre-employment physical required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled duties in carpentry, drywall, framing, doors, tile and related install work.
• Handle materials, equipment, and perform demolition and excavation as needed.
• Read and interpret construction drawings; maintain timesheets.
• May work overtime or off-hours; may be reassigned in emergencies.
