This Journeyman Configuration Management Analyst position supports the F/A-18 variants program at NAS Patuxent River, maintaining rigorous configuration control over baseline acquisition products.

Qualifications

• DoD Secret Security Clearance to access airfield and military installation
• BA or BS degree from an accredited institution
• 3 to 10 years of direct experience in configuration management, technical data management, or program data analysis—preferably within a DoD or NAVAIR environment
• Familiarity with MIL-HDBK-61A and defense change control workflows
• Excellent organizational skills and proficiency with data systems or configuration management databases

Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and interpret data to maintain strict configuration control over baseline acquisition products
• Track configuration changes and maintain configuration status accounting records
• Coordinate and support development, review, and routing of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs)
• Apply government processes for official documentation control, change management, and data management
• Collaborate with engineering and program management to review modification impacts and support configuration control boards
