Job summary

Nash Plumbing & Mechanical is seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC Install Technician to join the Special Projects Division. This role focuses on the installation of commercial HVAC systems on new construction, renovations, and replacements, requiring Journeyman-level experience and safe, high-quality workmanship.

You will read mechanical drawings, install air handling units, rooftops, boilers, pumps, and related piping, and collaborate with other trades on a busy site.

Qualifications

• Journeyman level HVAC installation or mechanical construction experience.
• Advanced working knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment and installation practices.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic trade calculations.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical construction drawings.
• Experience installing various types of mechanical piping systems (copper, carbon steel, PVC, HDPE, stainless).
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work as part of a construction team.
• Effective communication with Foremen, Superintendents, and other trades.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial HVAC equipment including air-handling and condensing units, rooftops, chillers, pumps, VAV and CAV units, and other components.
• Brazing, nitrogen purging, pressure testing, evacuation, and piping procedures per standards.
• Install condensate piping, drains, and insulation.
• Coordinate with other trades to install systems.
• Assist with system startup and commissioning.
