Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Welder-Combination to join metal parts such as pipes and plates according to layouts, blueprints and welding procedures. The role requires journeyman-level experience and the ability to operate welding equipment safely.

Responsibilities include welding, brazing, cutting, and assembly, along with reading blueprints, coordinating with crane operators, and maintaining quality under safety standards. OSHA-compliant PPE use and site-wide hazards are a constant.

Qualifications

• 4 years of Journeyman-level experience.
• A Weld Test, a Valid Driver's License, and a TWIC Card.
• Must be able to read, comprehend, and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Weld or tack weld pieces using spot, electric, or gas welding.
• Unite pipes from torch to tanks of oxygen and fuel gas and operate valves.
• Maintain proper flame temperature and adjust gas/air flow as required.
• Preheat work pieces and prepare for welding or curving per procedures.
• Inspect welds and measure pieces to ensure they meet specs.
