Job summary

You will work with wood, plastics, fiberglass, and drywall, using chisels, planes, saws, drills and sanders to erect and repair structures while following plans, estimating quantities, and ensuring safety on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Working knowledge of required skills and abilities.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions and communicate effectively.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Construct and repair structural wood work and equipment in yards and facilities.
• Work with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall.
• Use chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to erect and repair structures.
• Estimate sizes, distances, quantities, and required time, costs, and materials.
• Inspect workers' output for compliance with plans and correct deficiencies.
