Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in Ridgeland, MS seeks an entry-level Carpenter helper to assist in constructing and repairing structural woodwork and equipment at yards and industrial sites. You will work with wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall and support journeyman carpenters across diverse projects.

The role requires basic tool use, physical stamina, and a willingness to work irregular hours while adhering to safety rules and site procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; prior field experience preferred.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate with management/supervision.
• Field experience in chosen craft discipline.
• Knowledge of safe and efficient use of hand tools, power tools and layout tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Carpenter in constructing and repairing structural woodwork and equipment in yards, industrial and commercial properties.
• Work with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall.
• Assist with the use of chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to repair and erect structures.
