Job summary

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is seeking a Journeyman Technician for Ed Napleton Honda in Oak Lawn. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing vehicles to factory standards and building customer trust through reliable service.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years’ journeyman experience, a self-starting, process-driven mindset, and willingness to undergo background checks as required by policy. Union-guided pay applies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Journeyman Technician.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications - brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Adequate explain technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals as required.
• Continuously update technical skills and techniques in formal training sessions to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology.
• Keep store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
• Maintains an organized and neat service bay
• Other duties as assigned by management
